The EIA Women’s Council is pleased to offer an educational scholarship opportunity for NSWMA and WASTEC members and their dependents. Three scholarships of $5,000 will be awarded to deserving students in pursuit of undergraduate or graduate education related to a career in the environmental industry for the 2012-2013 academic year. Go here for information on eligibility, selection criteria and access to the online application form. Submission deadline is February 15, 2012.

On October 4, the Environmental Industry Associations (EIA) released the application for its 2012 Driver of the Year Awards (DOY). The prestigious DOY Awards honor those drivers who have upheld the field of solid waste management as an honorable occupation and who have conducted themselves and operated their vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
